After wrapping up the East Championship, the Post #6 Juniors defeated Holdrege 10-5 on Sunday to be crowned the Mid-Nebraska League Champion. Interest in the Central City Track and Field Club has been on the rise and so has the success of the club in their second year of competition. This year the number of participants has exploded and with that some members found great success at the AAU Track and Field Regional Qualifier held this past weekend in Des Moines, Iowa.

What a season it has been for the Central City/Fullerton Post #6 Pinnacle Bank Juniors as they have been on a mission to continue the success that has been found during the Legion Baseball season in recent years. The team has only been bested twice this season and this week they were able to avenge both of those losses.

This past week, Central City High School graduate and football standout was in for a treat as he joined some of the best football players in the state of Nebraska for the annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl. The event offered a week of preparation and inspiration while learning the meaning behind the game.

at The 2023 NSAA State Track and Field Championships saw an electrifying display of grit, determination, and sportsmanship at Burke High School over the weekend. A host of talented young athletes took to the field, with the Nebraska Christian girls’ team delivering a sterling performance to finish as runners-up in the team standings behind only Osceola.
