David E. Sorensen, 78, of Fullerton, formerly of Central City, died on Friday, July, 3, 2026 at Arbor Care Center in Fullerton. Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Pastor Nathan Musgrave officiating. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date.

Maxine M. Sundberg, age 84, of Clarks, passed away June 14, 2026 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.

Verna E. Zmek, 94, of Central City, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Litzenberg Long Term Care in Central City. Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Archer Zion Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m.

Arlis V. Phelps, 83, of Central City, died on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln.

Laura “Faye” Roebuck, 77, of Grand Island, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Grand Island. Funeral services were held at Third Christian Church in Grand Island on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Scott Jones officiating.

Ronald Dean Dankert, 72, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on June 16, 2026. Ron was born in Central City, Nebraska on May 6, 1954 to Alred and Elienn (Fleischaker) Dankert.

Mary Lou (Campbell) Miller, 98, formerly of Central City, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at her home in Clarks. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m.

Thomas E. Blodgett, 72, of Central City, died on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at his home surrounded by family. Memorial services were held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Central City with Pastor Gordon Paulsen officiating.

Scottie Irene was born sleeping on May 15, 2026, at 3:59 p.m., surrounded by endless love. Though her time here was far too brief, she was treasured long before she entered this world and will be remembered always by those who awaited her arrival.
