Central City Seniors move to 12-0 The Central City Post 6 Seniors improved their record to 12-0 last week, notching impressive wins over Grand Island USave Pharmacy and Doniphan-Trumbull- Giltner (DTG) on Thursday and Sunday, respectively. On Thursday, against USave at the newly renovated Ryder Park, Conner Erickson got the starting pitching nod and blanked the home team through three complete innings.

Central City was well-represented at last Thursday’s New West All-Star Classic basketball game in Minden, with standout graduates Payton Burbach and Reagan Fousek taking to the court one last time. In the showdown between the LouPlatte and Southwest Conference all-stars, Fousek finished with three points while Burbach was close behind with two.

SENIORS TOP AURORA IN FIVE

The top of the batting order shined for Central City last Tuesday, helping lead the Green and Gold Seniors toa convincing 11-3 victory over Aurora at Kernel Field. Starting pitcher Kayden Morner held the visitors scoreless through two innings, but the hosts faced struggles of their own offensively, leaving four baserunners stranded before reaching home plate.
