Greetings from the Chamber! Last week was busy for the chamber and its members. The chamber hosted Business After Hours on Wednesday at The Collective.

Editor: The first I was aware of the $48.5 million dollar bond issue was in the Nance County Journal newspaper or any other publication printed publicly that I am aware of.

A busy week here in the area! So much so that we had to make some cuts on what all we had planned sadly. This week Jacob and I were busy making our way around the area with stops in Central City and Chapman.

We are so excited to welcome you back to Central City Elementary School! One of the things we are looking forward to is the Open House and CCES Barbeque.

Summer, fairs family and the fabric of society Few things touch the heart more than seeing a young family walking the midway at the fair and seeing young children go on their first rides at the carnival. Is there anything cuter than a child petting a calf or holding a lamb at a 4H exhibit?

We have now survived the Merrick County Fair and you can feel the excitement in the air as fall sports are upon us. Monday practices kicked off and we already have some scrimmages on the horizon. What a time to be alive!

Just Like That As summer begins to draw to a close, the 2023-2024 school year is right around the corner. We hope that everyone enjoys their final days of break and that everyone looks forward to the start of a new school year.
