Today the Chamber of Commerce has the privilege to serve breakfast to our Merrick County Fair 4-H participants and their families. This tradition allows chamber members to recognize the efforts of our youth who have spent months preparing their 4-H projects to show off this week.

“Thanks for all you do!” Whether spoken to express gratitude for a job well done or just as a reminder that you are appreciated, these 5 words can certainly make someone’s day. How often do you say them to family, friends, co-workers, your boss or the business people occupying space next to you?

Loren Lippincott, District 34 Senator Recently I watched the movie “The Sound of Freedom,” which, appropriately enough, was released on Independence Day. The movie bested the Indiana Jones movie that week, which says Americans long for movies that are true life stories of good triumphing over evil.
