Daylight savings to begin again

Body For much of the United States, daylight saving time is set to start again at 2 a.m. local time on March 12, 2023, despite efforts to legislate out the time change.

Nebraska Christian takes center stage

Body On Friday, March 3, Parents and Students of Nebraska Christian gathered at the Performing Arts Center for their annual Elementary school musical. Every spot was taken in the parking lot and the seating in the theater was near max capacity.
A Great Tradition Continued Each year students at Nebraska Christian are buzzing with excitement as they get their opportunity to shine under the bright lights at the Central City Performing Arts Center. This year was no exception as Nebraska Christian students showcased their talents with the sixth graders acting on stage for a packed house.

Cornhole grows in popularity locally

Body Since January, the Lone Tree Throwers have been bringing a new form of fun to Central City as they have hosted weekly cornhole competitions at the Central City Volunteer Fire Department.
Some of the Best Lone Tree Throwers competitions have brought in players from all over the state and even some of the best the state has to offer including Josh Fousek (left) who is ranked tenth in Nebraska and Jamey Sok (right) who is currently ranked second in the Nebraska ACL standings.
