On Monday night the City Council of Central City met for their December meeting, but the first order of business was a historic one for the community of Central City. After twenty years of service former Mayor Clayton Erickson’s term has come to an end and Mayor Tim Bolling was sworn in as the meeting began.

With Christmas fast approaching, many schools and churches are holding special festivals to celebrate the carols and traditions of the Christmas season. On Friday, December 9th, Nebraska Christian celebrated their 15th presentation of the Festival of Lessons and Carols.

This year for Christmas, Clarks has many celebrations scheduled throughout the month of December. On December 1st, the Lighting Contest commenced, with everyone voting for their favorite to be decided later in the month.
