NC plans for 21st annual auction

The 21stt Annual Nebraska Christian Dinner and Benefit Auction will be held March 24th & 25th at the Nebraska Christian Schools gymnasium in Central City. The proceeds of the auction over the past 20 years have helped Nebraska Christian supplement teachers’ salaries and provided scholarships for those students who may not otherwise have been able to attend NC.

Nebraska Legislative District 34 update

Welcome to the Legislative District 34 news! I have spent my first week in the Nebraska Legislature getting to know my fellow colleagues and introducing my first Legislative Bill (LB). LB 52 increases the existing $900,000 cap to $1,000,000 in the State Tuition Assistance Program that provides tuition assistance to members of our Nebraska National Guard.

Multiple entities including Merrick Medical Center at Bryan Health have been recognized as a 2022 Human Experience Award winner by Press Ganey for outstanding achievement in physician and employee engagement. The awards are part of the organization’s annual ranking of the top hospitals and health systems in the country, according to performance in patient experience.

City Council holds meeting

For the first time in 2023 the City Council of Central City met for their regularly scheduled meeting and it was a meeting that will bring with it some changes to the community as we enter into a new year. One of the largest changes, as voted on by the people, Keno will become part of our community under the guidance of Nebraska Cooperative Government.
