The Dentist se_les into new location with open house and ribbon cutting last Wednesday

Dr. Kristen Hermansen-Ryan, a highly regarded dentist, has officially moved her practice to a brand-new location on G Street. After meticulous planning and extensive construction, the long-awaited relocation has finally come to fruition. Driven by the growing demands of her practice, the need for a larger space became inevitable.

CCPD hold successful campaign

Central City Police Department raised awareness about seat belt safety to area residents during its annual Click It or Ticket high-visibility seat belt enforcement campaign, held May 15 through June 4. The campaign, which coincided with the Memorial Day holiday, combined increased enforcement and a zero-tolerance policy, with effective communication to road users on the importance of seat belt use.

In honor of his parents, Joe and Cindy Clarke are pictured with the stone sign dedicated Monday at the city’s newwest park, Clarke Park, located near the Central City Aquatic Center on the south side of town. The Clarkes donated the land and Joe’s siblings, Jeff and Kristy Clarke, Jim and Lavonne, John and Luann; and Ann Strange, shared in the cost of the stone.

Japanese Beetles – Turn off the Welcome Sign As if 2023 hasn’t thrown gardeners enough curves already - like drought damage in lawns, shrubs, trees and ornamentals – soon it will be Japanese beetle season. Wonderful, that’s all we need! But we must be realistic and acknowledge the fact – Japanese beetles are here to stay.

Local Students Tour R-N Office

This past Tuesday the office of the Republican-Nonpareil came to life as two dozen local elementary school students were able to get a behind the scenes look at how the newspaper comes to life each week. Students were able to see how the newspaper is created and even were able to pose for their own photo to be used in this week’s edition. (R-N Photo by Jessie Jensen)

City Council holds meeting

The City Council of Central City gathered at the City Hall on Monday for their regular session, addressing various important matters concerning the local community. The meeting commenced with council members and several citizens seated at the front of the hall, eager to participate in the session’s proceedings.
