Merrick Arts Council hosts jazzy performance with Julie Baker Quartet

On Sunday, October 29th, another special performance was held at the Performing Arts Center by the Julie Baker Quartet. The second performance of the 2023-2024 season. The show began with an introduction that was done by Merrick Arts Council Board Member Clay Blackman. He talked about the schedule for the PAC and who all we can expect to perform in the coming months. He then gave a brief introduction of Julie Baker. After he was gone, the members of the quartet started coming out and taking theirs positions with their respective instruments.

Paul Burbach, a Vietnam veteran was one of hundreds of Merrick County veterans who will be honored as part of the new Heartland Veterans Memorial, which will have its initial dedication next Monday, November 11th at Lone Tree Park in Central City. The Central City Bison football team gets started with its clean up project in Wayne.
