DECA’s Fall Leadership Conference

This last Wednesday, October 11, 2023, the Central City DECA chapter attended the Fall Leadership Conference in Omaha, NE. The group went through a series of workshops that taught them different things about DECA and leadership. The group had the opportunity to listen to Dan Meers, the mascot of the Kansas City Chiefs football team. They also got to meet the State Officer team and listen to the presentations the officer team created. Alyssa Wood, sophomore, explained, “It was such a great experience. I learned so much stuff that I didn’t know about DECA. It was a lot of fun. Go if you have the opportunity to go.”

Bison softball battles hard at state to finish in top four, Seniors lead the way to cap off outstanding careers

Not knowing what excitement, drama, tornado warnings and heartbreak Hastings’ Bill Smith Softball Complex had in store for them, the Central City Softball team arrived last Wednesday for the 2023 NSAA State Softball Tournament. Armed with unyielding passion, determination, and an unbreakable bond, the Bison embarked on a journey that signified more than just a game.
