Last Wednesday four Central City High School athletes took a big step towards continuing their academic and athletic careers at the next level by signing their letter of intent. Left to right, from top left: Tyler Carroll has been on a mission of dominance this season and on Wednesday his hard work paid off as he signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and track and field career at Wichita State University.

There were plenty of big moments from the Central City Track and Field Invite (L to R from top left) including a record breaking performance from Tyler Carroll in the 110m hurdles. The youth of Bison track also shined bright including Reagan Fousek, Julia Buss, Aubrey Garfield and MaKenna Carlson. Overall it was a great day to be a Bison as Central City competed strong.

Swing Away

The Kernels have had little troubles with their offensive performance in recent games. After a slow start to the season the bats have came alive as guys like Blake Jensen have found their groove as the season has rolled along. It was the same this past week as the Kernels worked through slow starts to find success. The team will now get ready for another busy week of action with a few big matchups along the way as we head down the stretch.
