Central City High School claims Lou-Platte Conference Championship
The Central City High School girls' golf team shone brilliantly on Friday, securing the Lou-Platte Conference Championship title at Indianhead Golf Course. Amidst a robust competition that saw participation from Centura, Gibbon, Loup City, Ravenna, St. Paul, and Doniphan-Trumbull, it was Central City that clinched the top spot.
Several individual players also made their mark on the leaderboards leading to an outstanding team performance. Cyah White Bull finished as Lou-Platte Conference Runner-Up, closely followed by teammates Cheyenne Veach and Akeyli Bush at 8th and 9th places respectively. Alyssa Wood and Katelynn Blomstedt wrapped up the team's strong performance by securing the 14th and 15th positions.
Under the leadership of Coach Whitney Springer and assistant coach Cy White Bull, the Central City golfers showcased their skill, determination, and teamwork, making their school and community proud.
With this win, Central City High School etches its name as the Lou-Platte Conference Champions. Congratulations to Coach Springer, Coach White Bull and the exceptional student-athletes for this remarkable achievement.
