Bison girls cruise to commanding win

Through the first two games of the season, the Central City girls’ basketball team is 2-0 with an average margin of victory of almost forty-two points. Following a 62-16 win over Gibbon in their season opener, the Green and Gold welcomed Ord to the Bison Dome last Saturday and sent the Chanticleers home with a 71-34 loss behind double-digit scoring efforts from Reagan Fousek, Sydni Homolka, and Journi Schindler.

The Bison were well-represented at last Friday’s NSAA State Cross Country Championships, coming away from the Kearney Country Club with four standout performances. Senior Julia Buss, in her final race sporting the Green and Gold, fittingly posted her second fastest time of the season to take home a forty- eighth place finish to lead all Bison.
