Growing up in this community, there were always a few places that were staples for special occasions. We’d have ice cream at Dairy Queen after concerts or ball games, enjoy a “Mess” for breakfast at Donna’s Prairie Cafe, and indulge in one of the famous omelets, burgers, or waffles at Waffles N More. My go-to order was always the blueberry waffles topped with blueberry pie filling and whipped cream.

2024 4-H Shotgun Results

The 2024 Merrick County 4-H Shotgun contest was held on Saturday, April 27th at the Sportsman’s Club. Nine 4-Hers attended the contest. Rex Ferris was the Grand Champion Jr shooter and Emmitt Kremer was the Reserve Champion. In the Sr. division, Brady Myers received Grand Champion and Jackson Roberts received Reserve Champion.
