Central City is full of hidden gems, but there is one currently being rebuilt that even longtime residents of the community may not know is there unless they are traveling by foot. Between The Oaks Care Center and the Central City United Methodist Church is a small, but important walking bridge that connects the two properties. Having been there for decades now, and being walked on by patients, doctors and anybody out for a stroll, it has aged considerably and started to become less safe.

Monday morning a large group of local youths took to the Performing Arts Center stage to audition for the show. They were met by Avery Tilt who is one of two helpers for the production..

With the sale of Waffles N’ More being finalized plans have been put into motion for one man to fulfill his dream of owning his own restaurant and bringing in new and exciting eating options to Central City.

Central City recently celebrated its annual Lone Tree Days, an annual tradition that continues to bring the community together in joyous festivities. This year’s event, which took place last week and over the weekend, has been hailed as a great success, drawing impressive crowds and delivering memorable experiences for all who attended.

.Looking back on Lone Tree Days 2024, I hope we can all agree that our community did get the gold! I believe we did keep our Kindness momentum going and we celebrated our community as winners in retail, education, healthcare, agriculture, finance, religion, service & volunteerism.
