Central City has two champions, earns district title on Saturday In postseason competition, momentum matters, and the Central City Bison seem to have it harnessed. Saturday, on the mats at Centennial High School, the Central City Bison continued their tear through the postseason, as the Green and Gold qualified eight wrestlers for the NSAA Class C State Wrestling Championships, scored nearly 200 points, and secured the District C-2 championship.

Gonzalez, Peters punch tickets to state

Before either Keleigh Gonzalez or Maci Peters step on the mat at the CHI Health Center in Omaha this month, the two Central City wrestlers have already secured their spot in Bison wrestling history. On Saturday, at the District B-2 Tournament at Columbus Lakeview High School, Gonzalez and Peters became the first Central City wrestlers in history to qualify for the NSAA Girls State Wrestling Championships.
