Central City graduates Parker Zikmund and Wyatt Dent represented the Bison at last Saturday’s 68th annual Shrine Bowl. This year’s Shrine Bowl contest was held at the University of Nebraska-Kearney’s Cope Stadium.

The top of the batting order shined for Central City last Tuesday, helping lead the Green and Gold Seniors toa convincing 11-3 victory over Aurora at Kernel Field.

Last Tuesday on Kernel Field, Aurora picked up just one more hit than the Central City Juniors, but the Green and Gold struggled to find timely hittings and suffered their first loss of the regular season, 6-2.

Nebraska Christian’s Jacob Swanson ran a dozen laps around the track at Omaha Burke last weekend, and the recent graduate took home a pair of bronze medals for his efforts. Last week, Swanson led the Eagles’ delegation to Omaha.

After five complete innings, top-seeded Central City/Centura found themselves in a five-run hole against Mount Michael.
