On Friday before the holiday break, the Central City girls competed at the Tekamah-Herman Invite while the boys’ team battled at Logan View’s Dan Mowinkel Invite. Three Lady Bison secured their spots on the top of the medal stand, including Sawyer Groetzinger, Addison Burbach, and Maci Peters.

Just in time for the Runza Holiday Tournament, the Nebraska Christian Lady Eagles notched one of their most impressive wins of the season, besting unbeaten, thirdrated Sutton, 48-32 in overtime. The Eagles had a mountain to climb early on.

Twenty-six points were scored in the first four and a half minutes of last Friday’s game between Central City and Doniphan-Trumbull, and all of them went to the Cardinals.

Despite Karter Negus and Kayden Morner scoring a combined thirty-eight points, the Central City Bison struggled to keep pace with the Minden Whippets last Tuesday, falling 65-52 for their second loss of the regular season.
