The Nebraska Christian men’s and women’s track teams travelled to the Goldenrod Conference Track and Field Championship last Friday in Humphrey. When the final tape was broken, the Lady Eagles exhibited talent and depth in running away with the team championship. The Lady Eagles racked up nine gold medals and parlayed considerable depth to dominate the field.

Central City track and field athletes put their names in the conference history books once again at the Lou-Platte Conference Championships, with the Bison boys bringing home the team title for the second consecutive year. The girls came heartbreakingly close to doing the same, falling just six points short of the crown in a meet that came down to the final event.

Kernels gear up for postseason run as district play begins at home on Thursday at Kernel

After wrapping up a regular season filled with marquee wins, walk-off moments, and a whole lot of green and gold grit, the Central City/Centura Kernels are shifting their focus to the postseason. The C-2 District Tournament will be held on their home turf at Kernel Field, with action beginning Thursday, May 8, and the championship game slated for Friday, May 9 at 5:00 p.m.
