Clarks Bloodmobile is scheduled for Tuesday, March 7th from 11:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

For some of us the word “science” means not much more than a topic that Bill Nye guy used to talk to us about through our television sets. For others science is their entire world and after all, science really is our entire world, and beyond. Many students at Central City High School have grown to love science under the direction of Anna Detlefsen at Central City Middle School and with Chelle Gillan at the high school level.

A few graduates of Central City High School recently won some awards in the community of Grand Island. Jeff Williams and Jessica Hoback tied for citizen of the year award. An award given out by the Grand island Police department to any citizens for their actions in the community, on community boards, volunteer involvement, and general good acts that make grand island a better place to live.

20 Years Ago Conducting joint drug training exercises the Central City Police Department and the Merrick County Sheriff’s Department came together for training where Tim Dierks, Dick Smithson and Mark Hogue run through training exercises. The question of the week asks residents if L Road should be paved in Merrick County with a mixed level of support as it is pointed out that the road is primarily traveled by those living in Hamilton and Hall county.
