City Council holds meeting while honoring long-time City Clerk Linda Jensen

On Monday, the City Council of Central City held their monthly meeting with a full agenda. The night was also a memorable one for one long-time employee who was recognized for her years of service. Linda Jensen has been employed with the City of Central City since December 1982. She was the Deputy Clerk/Treasurer until June of 2009 at which time she became the City Clerk/Treasurer.

Teaming Up for Greatness

The first season of girls wrestling at Central City High School brought with it plenty of success as did a recent fundraiser to help support the team. The Central City Eagles Club, Central City Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Central City High School girls wrestling team joined forces to raise $1,500 during a local pool tournament. The groups joined forces to offer food for those participating or watching. Last Friday the check was presented. 20 Years Ago Residents of Central City and surrounding areas met recently at the Community Room to work on a comprehensive trails plan for Central City as they listened to Lloyd Castner with Kirkham Michael Consulting Engineers and Mary Hanson from the National Parks Service. The Reverend Monty Nelson has begun pastoral duties with the United Presbyterian Church in Central City.

First Place Robotics
