Nebraska crop values

The value of Nebraska’s 2023 field and miscellaneous crops is forecast at $13.5 billion, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. This is down 11% from 2022. The value of corn production is expected to total $8.56 billion, down 13% from the previous marketing year. Nebraska’s corn price is projected to average $4.95 per bushel, down $1.82 from the last marketing year.

Continuing the Mission This week Central City was visited by some special individuals all hoping to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer. Every once in a while, you come across a story that just brings a tear to your eye and a smile to your face in a perfect blend of compassion and love. This story is exactly that kind of thing, having lost a grandmother, an aunt, and a great aunt to cancer there is a special place in my heart for those who battle cancer. And those who raise awareness selflessly and try to bring awareness to the striking reality that Pediatric cancer is unfortunately not as rare as we might think.
