Chapman Volunteer Fire Department has one big change coming to their community, their own ambulance. Captain Tanner Maw and Assistant Chief Casey Bagwell sat down with the Central City Republican-Nonpareil to give an update on all the things that Chapman VFD has to offer and why it is so important this ambulance was pushed for.

Farmers of Merrick County - Stan Ferris

In the 1940s Stan Ferris’s father moved to Merrick County and began farming. Stan stayed in Merrick County and kept farming and now Stan sits back and watches his son, Greg, farm in Merrick County. However, in those early days, before Greg was even a thought, Stan watched his dad from afar, and longed for the day he could get in a tractor and go out to the fields himself.
