Danyal Metz retires after twenty-year Air Force career

Master Sergeant Danyal M. Metz (née Palm) is retiring after a distinguished 20-year career in the United States Air Force. The daughter of Dennis and Diane Palm of Central City, Danyal grew up with a fiery passion for 4-H and showing horses, eventually winning the 2002 Fonner Park State 4-H Horse Exposition. She would go on to win multiple awards in equine events, taking that same passion and hardworking attitude with her when she decided to join the Air Force and serve her country.

This story is exactly that kind of thing, having lost a grandmother, an aunt, and a great aunt to cancer there is a special place in my heart for those who battle cancer. And those who raise awareness selflessly and try to bring awareness to the striking reality that Pediatric cancer is unfortunately not as rare as we might think.

Nebraska’s number of farms and ranches declined during 2023, according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. The number of farms and ranches in the state, at 44,400, was down 100 farms from 2022. Numbers of farms and ranches in Nebraska with less than $100,000 in agricultural sales was unchanged from a year earlier while operations with agricultural sales of $100,000 or more decreased 100 farms.
