The University of Nebraska at Kearney is once again welcoming a record-breaking group of students into its signature health science program. A total of 72 high school seniors were recently accepted into the Kearney Health Opportunities Program (KHOP) for fall 2024.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts has unveiled the winners of its 27th annual Nebraska Young Artist Awards, celebrating the state’s most promising 11th-grade talents across various artistic disciplines. This year’s accolades spotlight two exceptional students from High Plains Community, further solidifying its reputation as a nurturing ground for young talent.

High Plains Community School’s 4th and 5th graders in Mrs. Laura Hedrick’s class recently held a Poetry Cafe after finishing up their poetry units. Each week different students poems will be published to honor their hard work!

Individuals work hard to save enough money to purchase their homes. And the hard work doesn’t end there. Once homeowners settle into a new home, they may set their sights on renovations that suit their individual needs. And even when buyers find a home that needs no such work, maintenance requires homeowners’ utmost attention.
