Kicking It Up A Notch

Body
Last Friday the Central City Bison basketball team was able to take charge and secure a victory over Wood River thanks to great team play from guys like Ashton Gragg (top left) and Derek Pfeifer (top right) and they used that momentum to help push them into a big match up with Boone Central on Tuesday. Now 15-1 on the season the team will look to take a page out of the Bison dance team’s book (bottom photo, Taylyn Greving, Brynn Ohlman, Addie Buhlke, Sarah Musil) as they “kick it up a notch” heading into Lou-Platte Conference Tournament action beginning next Tuesday. All games will be held at the Bison Activity Dome for Central City as they will have home court advantage.

The lone loss for the Central City High School basketball team now feels like a distant memory as the team has rattled off win after win since that sole blemish on their now 10-1 season record. It has already been a season for the record books with Ayden Zikmund joining the 1,000-point scoring club, but this past week added to the special season as Bison head coach BJ Blase secured his 200th career coaching victory.
