Darlene P. Soll, 99, of Central City, died on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Grand Island Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Central City with Pastor Francis Kinyua officiating.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father John Edward Fishler, who departed this life peacefully on May 30, 2026, at the age of eighty-six. John was born on January 12, 1940, in Central City, to Lester and May Fishler.

Linda C. Lambert, of Central City, died on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Grand Island Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Trent Wagner officiating.

Marlene M. Larson, 87, of Stromsburg, entered eternal life with her savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Bryan Medical Center— West in Lincoln. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Stromsburg with Pastor Mary Scott officiating.

The Central City Republican-Nonpareil | May 21, 2026 Richard Alan Schank, 79, of Clarks, died Sunday, May 10, 2026, at his home in Clarks. A celebration of life gathering will be held at the family’s home in rural Clarks on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m.

The Central City Republican-Nonpareil | May 21, 2026 Vicky Joanne Sayles, 86, entered into God’s care on May 6, 2026. Vicky was born in Superior on June 2, 1939.

Marvin D. Hablitzel, 89, of Lincoln, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Eventide Care Home in Lincoln.

Don E. Hannappel, 71, of Clarks, died on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Bickford Senior Living in Grand Island.

William W. “Bill” Stahn, 89, of Central City, died on Friday, March 20, 2026 at his home in Central City. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Community Room in Central City.

Bernard Thaddeus “Thad” Blodgett, 70, of Central City died on Friday, April 17, 2026 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha after a courageous battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 10:30 a.m.
