Linda C. Lambert, of Central City, died on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Grand Island Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Trent Wagner officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 5th from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

Linda was born in Grand Island on March 25, 1951, to Howard and Ila Lovejoy. She grew up in Nebraska and Paso Robles, California where she met and married Lewis Barnett. The couple later moved to West Virginia and there they had a daughter Cynthia born in April, 1973. She and Lewis were married until July 1989. In 1992 she was united in marriage to Edward Lambert until 2003 when she returned to Nebraska to be closer to her daughter and grandsons. She spent her lifetime working in housekeeping and as a cook. She retired in 2023 from Cottonwood Estates. After retirement she concentrated on spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandsons which is where her most cherished memories were made.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Kevin) Wall of Central City; grandsons, Kolbe Owens and Chase Owens both of Central City; brother, Randy (Nancy) Lovejoy of California; sister, Carolyn Kohl of Central City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ila and Howard; her brothers, Chester, Daryl, and Edward Lovejoy; sister, Vicky Thomas; brotherin- law. Kenneth Kohl; sister-in-law, Dixie Lovejoy; and nephew, David Kohl.
