Veterans Day festivities to be held in Central City on Tuesday
Veterans Day will bring a full slate of events to Merrick County next week. Central City will honor local veterans on Tuesday, November 11th with a parade, program, and community celebration.
CENTRAL CITY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1985
THE CENTRAL CITY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1985 gathered for their fortieth reunion the weekend of September 26 and 27, 2025. Activities included attending the homecoming football game to cheer on the Bison, followed by gathering at the Independent Club on Friday night.
Delta Kappa Gamma holds October meeting
Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met on October 16, 2025, in Palmer. Starting the meeting early was important in order to complete the chapter’s annual project of making holiday greetings for veterans in the area.
Acoustic string band to perform in CC
The next Merrick Arts Council program will feature an acoustic string band, The Haymakers, from the Wichita, Kansas area on Sunday, November 16th at 2:00 p.m. The Haymakers features four musicians on guitar, mandolin, bass, harmonica, and vocals.
Federal payments, cattle prices push Nebraska farm income higher in 2025
Nebraska net farm income is projected to increase by forty-two percent in 2025, to $8.42 billion, according to the latest projections from the University of Nebraska– Lincoln and the University of Missouri.
