The Central City Board of Education met on July 21, 2025, at the high school conference room. Members approved increases to school meal prices and activity admissions for the 2025–2026 school year.

Last week, Central City said goodbye to three of its oldest and most iconic Main Street buildings as demolition crews brought down the long-standing structures at 319 and 321 G Street—including the former NAPA Auto Parts store—marking the close of a chapter that spanned well over a century.

Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met at 1:00 P.M., June 19, 2025, at the Venture Center in Central City, Ne. Member Mary Helen Fuchs introduced the Chapter’s special guests for the day, Birdie Krance of Central City and speaker Mickey Creager of Omaha.
