DECA & NHS Trick or Treat for Canned Goods

Body
From cowboys to lions, DECA and NHS students were dressed to the nines in their pursuit for canned goods. On October 23, several members of DECA and NHS drove about town dressed in Halloween costumes, trick or treating for canned goods for people in need. Many Americans are unable to afford food each year and turn to food banks for help. These costumed crusaders were able to gather a substantial amount of canned goods and other such products from people willing to donate all over town! The food was donated straight to Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership. Kamryn Wright, Junior, stated that, “I enjoyed seeing the smiles on the faces from the people that helped in the community.”

MAC brings handbell choirs to PAC for special concert

Body

The main performers were the Concordia University handbell choir, and featuring our local handbell choirs from the Fairview Methodist Church, the Central City United Methodist Church and Central City Presbyterian Church. A very sizable crowd filled the auditorium of the Performing Arts Center. The chaotic weather outside that day was kept out and the moment the first rings came from their handbells, the air in the auditorium came alive.
