On Superbowl Sunday, as everyone was getting ready to watch the big game, Central City Alumni Justin Erickson was hard at work in the Pork on a Fork food truck serving the many people who arrived at the stadium itself in Phoenix Arizona.

If you build it, the Huskers just might come. The last time that we came to you with this news it was not officially confirmed that the Bison Activity Dome will be the site of the 2023 Husker volleyball spring scrimmage on April 29, but that has now changed.

On Sunday, February 19, the Merrick Arts Council hosted another show at the Performing Arts Center as they continue their most recent season. Magician Michael DeSchalit made the trip all the way from Las Vegas to Central City to give a magical performance.

On Wednesday, February 15th, Merrick Medical Center held their fifth annual Ladies Night. It was a night focused on woman’s health and wellbeing, while also offering food, drinks and a chance to find out about some of the many businesses in the area.

20 Years Ago The Central City Board of Education unanimously voted to hire Tom McGuire as the new middle school principal and McGuire will begin next school year following the competition of his assistant principal duties at Columbus Middle School.
