Merrick Medical’s Men’s Night returns

It didn’t take long for the excitement to start to build for the Merrick Medical Center Men’s Night that was back by popular demand since taking a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last Wednesday the Merrick County 4-H Building was full of excitement as many local vendors joined Merrick Medical staff members in an exciting night dedicated to the men in our community.

CCPS holds open house, opens dome

For many who joined in on a ribbon cutting event to signal the opening of the Bison Activity Dome at Central City High School, it was a day that they had been looking forward to for some time now. An early morning idea of Central City Public Schools Board of Education member Brent Kennedy has seen its ups and downs, but after years of waiting the monolithic dome structure was officially opened last Thursday.

MAC seeks carolers

During the month of December, the community is invited to join the caroling that will happen each Thursday for the Thursday Night Lights shopping events. The Merrick Arts Council is hoping to have a core group of people each Thursday, but everyone in the community is invited to join the group! Meet at the Venture Center a little before 5:30.
