Merrick County Republicans to host Social Emotional Learning discussion

The Merrick County Republicans are poised to host an event that promises to stir a significant conversation around Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in Nebraska’s educational system. Dr. Sue Greenwald of the Protect Nebraska Children Coalition will lead the evening, titled “S.E.L Horrors,” shedding light on the controversies surrounding SEL. The event is scheduled for 7 p.m., Monday, February 12, at Interconnection Systems, Inc. in Central City, NE.

CCPD to support local program

This collaboration is a proactive response to the pressing need for comprehensive safety awareness among children and community members. The police department is actively seeking support from local residents and businesses to ensure the program’s effectiveness.

The Dan Gillespie Soil Health Fund (DGSHF) is currently accepting grant applications that will further the organization’s mission to promote soil health and regenerative agriculture. The DGSHF is an endowment established to perpetually make grants that support educational events and programming for youth, current and future farmers and ranchers and others, including women and small stakeholders directly involved in agriculture in Nebraska and surrounding states.

Nebraska Extension wants to help you take your corn production to the next level with topics relating to year-round soil nitrogen management, corn planter setup and adjustments, nitrogen sources and stabilizers for corn, and much more. The 2024 Nebraska Corn Production Clinic will be held Monday, Feb. 5 at the Commercial Building, Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Aurora, Nebraska, starting at 9 a.m. with breakfast refreshments and time to visit with the vendors at the display booths.
