Central City native Addie Graham-Kramer leads award-winning event company to new heights

Jane Goodall once said, “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” Living up to these words, Central City native Addie Graham-Kramer is making significant strides with her Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based company. As the CEO and co-founder of The Event Company, an internationally recognized, award-winning event design and production company, she specializes in corporate, social, and non-profit events. Over the past decade, her all-female team has planned and designed over 450 events across 22 states, showing no signs of slowing down.

10 Years Ago Central City area residents and Korean War veterans Leland Greving, Robert Davis, and George Vosicky enjoyed their surroundings and each other’s company on their Heartland Honor Flight trip to Washington, D.C. The three were among the 461 veterans who were part of the Korean Honor Flight out of Omaha.

Pippa White enthralls the PAC with stories from Ellis Island

Many people braved the wind to attend the final show of the season at the Performing Arts Center, a special solo theater performance by actress Pippa White titled “Voices of Ellis Island.” Pippa White opened her performance by reading the poem “The New Colossus,” famously inscribed on the Statue of Liberty. The stage was set with props such as hats, luggage, chairs, and sets of plastic railing, all utilized by White to enhance her storytelling.

Bob Fuelberth is a man of many careers. He started out as a mechanic on tractors and machinery for John Deere. It was during his time at John Deere that he met his wife LaNell. His second career was as a feed dealer and it was something that LaNell was also involved in. Being around tractors and then the world of feed and livestock, it wasn’t long before the pieces all came together, and Bob decided to start farming.
