The Central City Bison wrestling team wrapped up a pivotal week with standout performances that solidified their standing as a premier team in the state. Their achievements began at the annual Lou-Platte Conference Wrestling Tournament, where a number of Bison wrestlers battled their way to a conference medal, followed by a dominant display during Tuesday night’s home dual.

Last Friday the Cross Country community was dealt a hefty blow with the passing of long-time Nebraska Christian head coach Scott Johnson. Coach Johnson was known and well respected for his kind heart and love of the sport, but it was his love of God that was his true passion. We send our love to the Johnson family and all Coach Johnson’s former athletes.

In an impressive display of skill and determination, the High Plains Community and Nebraska Christian wrestling teams made their mark at the Neligh-Oakdale Invitational this past Saturday. Highlighting the event were significant milestones achieved by two wrestlers from High Plains: Wyatt Urkoski won his 150th match, and Lance Russell secured his 100th victory, marking significant achievements in their high school wrestling careers.
