The Central City American Legion Post #6 teams have wrapped up another fantastic week on the diamond. Both the Cornerstone Seniors and the Pinnacle Bank Juniors displayed exceptional skill and teamwork, solidifying their positions as formidable contenders this season.

The Cornerstone Stampede teams brought excitement and pride to Central City this past weekend with their remarkable performances in tournament play. The 12U team clinched the Nebraska USA Softball District 5 Championship, while the 18U team fought their way to the runner-up position at the competitive Class B Diamond Classic.

The Cornerstone Stampede youth softball teams had a remarkable showing at the Milford tournament this past weekend, bringing home three championships and one runner-up title. The 18U, 12U, and 10U teams all emerged victorious in their respective categories, while the 8U team narrowly missed the top spot but displayed commendable skill and determination throughout the competition.

It was a weekend of highs and lessons for the Central City American Legion Post #6 Cornerstone Seniors at the Seniors Cornerstone Classic. With a 3-1 record, the team finished in a three-way tie for first place, though the tiebreaker rules remained a mystery. Head Coach Brandon Detlefsen couldn’t have been prouder of his squad’s performance and growth throughout the tournament.
