Something promising, something scrappy, something filled with awkward swings and surprising birdies. The 2025 campaign is underway, and the Bison are already making noise on the fairways and greens.

The Central City track and field team packed the podium at the Sandy Creek Invite, piling up top-four finishes across the board. Wyatt Dent starred with golds in the 100-meter dash (10.83 PR) and long jump (20’11”), while senior Truman Ryan won the triple jump (42’7.5”) and took fourth in high jump (5’8”) and fifth in the 100.

Kernels open season with dominant win after weather delays

The march to Omaha officially began Tuesday evening in Central City, and the Central City/Centura Kernels made sure it was worth the wait. After Mother Nature put a damper on their scheduled opening weekend—scratching both Friday’s and Saturday’s games—the Kernels finally took the field and made a bold first impression, blanking Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point-Beemer in an 8-0 shutout.
