Coming off of a 44-24 loss to Doniphan-Trumbull on Friday night, the Central City girls’ basketball team looked to finish strong before the moratorium as they opened the Runza Holiday Basketball Tournament a couple days ahead of schedule due to impending weather.

The 2022-23 wrestling season continues to roll on and with it the Central City High School wrestling team looked to get in plenty of mat time ahead of the holiday break. It was a week full of dual action as the Bison hosted a triangular last Thursday before hitting the mat at the Boone Central Dual Tournament on Saturday.

The Central City girls wrestling team continues to keep showing their growth as the team sees more mat time throughout the month of December. This past week offered two opportunities for the Lady Bison to compete as they stepped on the mat last Thursday for the Aurora Girls Wrestling Invitational and on Monday at the Summerland Lady Bobcat Invitational.

As the 2022-23 basketball season hits full stride the action on the court was sure to heat up for the Central City High School basketball team. It was a week that began with disappointment as Mother Nature put a damper on a highly anticipated battle with Boone Central, but finished with plenty of excitement as the Bison battled to remain unbeaten on the young season.

As the Central City High School girls basketball team was looking forward to a battle with Boone Central, Mother Nature put a damper on the plans as ice forced last Thursday’s game to be pushed back to January. With games against two quality opponents rounding out the week, it was a week that proved to be a tough one for a young Bison squad that is growing with each game.
