The days of the event have come and gone,and you missed them! Two days of competition, fun, laughter and camaraderie. Eighty eight competitors, their mom’s, dad’s, friends and family. From all parts of this great state. From Alliance and Chadron in the north west to South Sioux and Winnebago in the Northeast.

2013 High Plains Community homecoming celebrations include Carter Urkoski and Londyn Fisher who serve as crown bearers for Logan Fleming and Jami Ostberg. With its defense coming up aces, Central City’s football team came up with a couple of big offensive plays in the second half, helping the Bison to a season opening win last Friday at Sandy Creek in Bison head coach Troy Huebert’s debut.

The Rural Energy for America Program provided funds for corn farmer Edwin Kaup to install a more energy-efficient electric irrigation motor. The new system is expected to save $3,235.79 in electrical costs per year. The improvements are projected to replace 30,943 kilowatt hours (kWh) (65.31 percent of the individual’s energy use) per year, which is enough energy to power two homes per year.

Cody Kutschkau and Michelle (Kula) Kutschkau of Fullerton are proud to announce the arrival of their DAUGHTER, Kora Lou Ann Kutschkau. She was born August 26, 2023 at Boone County Health Center at 8:07 am weighing 7 pounds and 8 ounces measuring 21 inches long. She is welcomed home by her 3 big brothers Karter, Kolyn, and Kreyton. Grandparents are Ron and Julie Kula of Central City and Gwen Kutschkau of Cedar Rapids. Great-Grandparents are Frances and the late Walt Larsen of Central City and Mel and the late Bonnie Kutschkau of Central City.
