High Plains celebrates local legends at Hall of Fame induction ceremony

The ceremony, held in the bustling atmosphere between the Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball games against the Fullerton Warriors, honored three individual athletes and a distinguished team from the local area.

Chelle Gillian honored in special presentation

Lone Tree Quilter Gloria Gallion has donated 50 sets of doll clothes to this years Christmas of Sharing, many of these are made up for four separate pieces. Gallion says her quilting hobby goes hand in hand with the doll outfits, due to the large number of small scraps of leftover cloth.

Nebraska Extension schedules Farmland and Pasture Leasing Workshop

Nebraska Extension will host a Farmland and Pasture Leasing Workshop on Dec. 12 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Panhandle Research, Extension and Education Center in Scottsbluff. The workshop will cover current Nebraska cash rental rates and land values, crop-share arrangements, terminating verbal leases, and other contract considerations.
