Candidates make their case to voters

Nine candidates vying for public office in Merrick County had a chance to make their case to voters during a non-partisan candidate forum held at the Central City Performing Arts Center on Sunday. The event, which was moderated by Kristen Hermansen-Ryan, allowed each candidate an opening statement, followed by a series of pre-prepared questions, a lightning round featuring questions submitted in writing from the audience, and then closing statements.
