Luke 1:39-55 KJV “And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; and entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: and she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

These past few months, a few friends of mine have had to make difficult decisions concerning their elderly parents. The realization that they can no longer live independently means choices have to be made about their future. That and the death of my husband last fall brings the reality of poor health and death to the forefront of my thoughts. Life is a series of laughter, happiness, and sadness. Our life span is a series. We start as infants, our needs are met by caring parents, then the toddler stage moving to school age then teenagers, young adults, middle age, and the final step old age. The last step of the series. Some live long others meet their death at a younger age. Life is precious, makeitagoodjourney. Memoriesarewhatweleavebehindsolive with a smile.
