Bison volleyball snaps streak, celebrates milestone week with big wins

The Central City Bison volleyball team had a week for the record books, highlighted by a dramatic reverse sweep against St. Paul on Tuesday night, which snapped a 22-match losing streak to the Wildcats. The Bison found themselves down 2-0 early but mounted an incredible comeback, winning three straight sets to claim the victory: 22-25, 2025, 27-25, 25-14, 15-6.

The stage was set for a memorable night at High Plains, as the Storm entered their homecoming matchup against Bruning-Davenport/ Shickley (BDS) with high hopes and plenty of momentum. However, despite a promising start, the night ended in disappointment for the home team as BDS claimed a 34-20 victory.

It was another challenging night for Nebraska Christian football as the Eagles fell 50-12 at home to Archangels Catholic in a conference matchup on Friday. The Eagles faced a tough opponent in Archangels Catholic, which made their presence felt early and often, pulling ahead with 14 points in the first quarter and expanding their lead as the game progressed.
