Last Thursday, my family and I had the pleasure of watching Central City High School’s phenomenal performance of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the Orpheum Theater in Omaha. This wasn’t just another night out; it was an unforgettable experience that filled us with pride and joy.

As a parent, one of the greatest joys and challenges is witnessing the growth and development of our children. Recently, I have been particularly moved by the transformation of my son, Rutledge. His journey from a child obsessed with YouTube and video games to a dedicated and hardworking athlete has taught me invaluable lessons about parenting, persistence, and the power of encouragement.

The time is overdue for the public to take an active role in Merrick and Nance county clean water protection via a county policy of public on up reporting system? Simple program where the Public, Sheriff’s office and County Board of Supervisors all work together. The Board sends out public notice that the county wants advance notification of any water pumped or drained into our counties and also if there is any contaminant concern.

Thoughts on leaving home As Daniel Boone’s mother told her young son, “A boy will remain a boy until it becomes necessary for him to become a man.” As you soon leave home an avalanche of challenges and decisions will lie before you. Your character will be tested. Many of the ruts you cut will stay with you the rest of your life so choose them carefully. The greatest danger many young people face during their first period of life is not to take a risk! Too many settle for less than they are destined to become. It is far too easy to seek out a comfort zone of mediocrity, comfort, ease and pleasure. At all costs, do not do this! Achieve what you were meant to achieve. Set goals and push yourself to achieve them!
