Another year passes, but the memory of that day never fades. I was in 5th grade on September 11, 2001, sitting in a classroom, oblivious to the fact that the world was about to shatter. One moment, it was just another school day, and the next, the TV flickered on and we saw the unthinkable.

Do you see one piece of the puzzle or the whole puzzle? It is just amazing how pieces of a puzzle come together to create a beautiful picture. If you have one or more missing pieces it affects the whole picture.

Last week in this space I discussed the contrast between Nebraska’s two major political parties but today the spotlight is on the two people running to be the 47th president of the United States – Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

The Chamber welcomes another new member. Joanne Smith recently moved to Central City and owns her business, FAB Creatives Services, LLC. She is a successful business owner in Kansas before relocating to Nebraska.

Sometimes, you just need to put the camera down and soak it all in. That’s exactly what I did this past Saturday, joining the Nelson family at Memorial Stadium to witness Carter Nelson’s debut for the Huskers.
