Well, well, well, Bison Nation, if you weren’t in Ord last night, you missed a good ol’ fashioned Bison beatdown. Central City rolled into town, left the bus running, and lit up the scoreboard like it was a 4th of July firework show—final score: 48-20. But this wasn’t just any win; this was a statement. The Bison have dudes. Athletic dudes. Dudes who can flat-out play.

EZ-PZ Lemon Squeezy

Let's kick things off with our boy Parker "EZ-PZ" Zikmund. Now, I know some of you remember when I dubbed him “Lightning Bug” after I paid him $20 to eat one. (Yeah, you read that right—$20 well spent.) But those days are long gone, folks. EZ-PZ has traded in lightning bugs for lightning bolts, and the kid is electrifying on the field. Since his stellar wrestling season, he's been on a roll—first dominating on the baseball diamond, and now, he's tearing it up at quarterback. His debut was nothing short of magic, and I’ve got a feeling this is just the beginning of his highlight reel.

Quarterbacks for Days

Speaking of QBs, we didn’t just roll out one or two—no, we went all out and used four of them! EZ-PZ led the charge, but Jakob Ruhl and Carter Simonsen got in on the action too, showing off their own skills. And let’s not forget Quinn Jensen, who brought it home by taking a knee like a seasoned pro. It’s a good problem to have when you’ve got that much depth at the most important position on the field.

Corbin Kyes: Tackle at Your Own Risk

Now, let’s talk about Corbin Kyes. This dude gives me serious Sam Kuch vibes with the way he runs the ball. He’s not just a runner; he’s a wrecking ball. Case in point: that poor defender who thought he could tackle Corbin, only to get headlocked and slammed to the ground like a rag doll. I’m pretty sure Corbin tackles people just for fun. If you see him coming, you better get out of the way—or bring a few friends along to help.

Wyatt Dent: Freakishly Awesome

And then there’s Wyatt Dent, who’s still a freak. (In the best way possible, of course.) Four touchdowns later, I’m convinced this kid was born with a football in his hand. He’s a natural, and he’s only getting better. Big shoutout to the coaches for that long bomb before halftime—Wyatt was wide open, and it was pure poetry in motion. The Dent Show continues, folks, and it’s a must-watch.

The Big Boys Up Front

Let’s not forget about the guys in the trenches—the offensive and defensive lines. They showed some serious grit last night. Sure, there are always things to clean up, but overall, it was a solid performance. If these big boys keep pushing people around like they did in Ord, the Bison are going to be a tough out for anyone.

Truman Ryan: The Return

Welcome back, Truman Ryan! After a year on the cross-country team, Truman made his grand return to the gridiron, and it was like he never left. He made his presence felt on defense right away, and I’ve got a hunch we’ll be seeing him make some noise on offense too. The Herd is stronger with you back, Truman.

Playmakers Everywhere

And we can’t wrap this up without giving some love to Colter Lueders, who snagged his first career touchdown last night. This converted lineman is now a full-blown playmaker on both sides of the ball. He’s just one of many weapons in this Bison arsenal. Seriously, this team is stacked with talent, and the best part? We’re just getting started.

Final Thoughts

So, what’s the takeaway? This team is good. Really good? We shall see. And the fun part is, we’re only scratching the surface. There’s a lot of football left to play, but if Friday night was any indication, this season is going to be one heck of a ride. Buckle up, Bison Nation—it’s going to be fun.

And as always, thanks for hanging out with me on this fine Saturday morning. Go Bison!
