DERBY TO BENEFIT LOCAL GROUPS

Demo for the Dogs, a charity demolition derby will be taking place in the Forbes pasture at 2776 3rd Road in Palmer this Saturday, October 25th. Proceeds from the derby will benefit the Good Life Rescue, an all-volunteer, nonprofit, foster-based dog rescue located in Grand Island, and the Recreational Enrichment of Palmer Fund, a committee working to raise funds for a new pool in the village of Palmer.

Farm Bureau enjoying new home

Farm Bureau Financial Services recently moved to a new home in Central City, relocating from its longtime home on 16th Street to the former veterinary clinic near the intersection of Nebraska Highway 14 and O Road north of town. Registered Representative Shannon Hannappel said last week that the move had primarily been made to accommodate the growing business.
