On September 17th, the Merrick County performing arts center had their first show of the season. For the first show, they had Olga Smola, an accomplished Russian violinist and Professor of Music at UNO in Omaha.

Central City High’s football team showcased a remarkable performance last Friday, crushing Fort Calhoun with a solid 28-14 victory. The team’s offense and defense were firing on all cylinders as they controlled the pace of the game.

Nearly two years after the packed informational meeting at Central City High School, and decades of eager anticipation from multiple generations, the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) has provided an update on the Central City Viaduct project.
