Jesus asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” Mathew 16:13b-14 Today some people say Jesus is a fabrication, a good man, or a profit. Jesus than asked, “But what about you?” he asked.“WhodoyousayIam?” SimonPeteranswered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:15-16 Jesus went on to say that Peter’s statement was the rock on which he would build his church.
