On Monday night the Central City Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Hamilton Telecommunications at their new location located at Hub 46 in Central City. Community members Mayor Tim Bolling and Courtney Root hold the ribbon as John Nelson makes the cut.

The Central City Methodist Church has launched its first communal garden, aiming to bring the community together and provide a source of food for those in need.

The Merrick County Historical Museum held its first meeting of the year Sunday, Jan. 12, at the Venture Center in Central City. The meeting focused on reviewing changes to the bylaws, electing members to the board of directors, and discussing Merrick County’s history.

This past Sunday, the Merrick County Historical Museum welcomed Stan Ferris and Sara Moore to their board of directors. The museum held their annual meeting with excitement as they plan to move into their new building later this year. (R-N Photo by Jacob Kennedy)

The Fasbenders, a name that is as grand as the house they all reside in. Each member of their family is colorful and diverse, using their unique skills to paint upon the canvas of the world around them. The family consists of six total members. First, there’s Kirstin Fasbender and her husband Chris.

Daily Activity Report Monday, December 30 Officer responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 1600 block of 14th Avenue, situation resolved. Officer responded to a car accident in the area of 28th Street and 17th Avenue, report completed.
