“Right when the garage doors opened and the school walked in seeing the dome for the very first time, hearing everyone’s amazing positive opinions hit me. I couldn’t believe it was real. I am so excited to represent the Bison on the front of my jersey in the dome.

It was a season to remember for the Nebraska Christian football team as they made a name for themselves as the team that would battle until the very end and find a way to win.

Nebraska Christian is no stranger to success on the volleyball court and in recent years the Lady Eagles volleyball team has certainly found plenty as their season has finished in Lincoln for the NSAA State Volleyball Championships.

After a brief hiatus from the Class C-1 football playoffs the Central City Bison battled their way back to secure a top 16 finish in the state. The only downside was a rematch with the #2 ranked team in the class staring them down last Friday.

If you are a fan of good ol’ fashion football then Hebron, Nebraska was the place to be last Friday as the Nebraska Christian Eagles came to town looking to pull off an upset over the Thayer Central Titans. It was a battle of epic proportions as both teams came out swinging in a defensive battle.

For the High Plains Storm Volleyball team, it was a great season, but one that fell just one win short of sending them to the NSAA State Volleyball Championships yet again. The trend continues for the Lady Storm as they once again felt heartbreak just one game shy of a trip to Lincoln.

If there ever was a more perfect time for the gymnasium at Nebraska Christian to have air conditioning, then we certainly were not there for it. A packed house this past Saturday witnessed some fast and furious volleyball action on the court as the gym was packed full of spectators.

Not much has changed since the Bison last matched up with the Pierce Bluejays, but they have managed to stay undefeated while also rolling to an impressive 48-26 victory over a tough Boone Central team.
