Storm secure spots at state meet

Body Five girls and three boys sporting the Red and Blue will make their way to Omaha Burke High School this week to represent High Plains Community at the NSAA State Track and Field Championships. On the boys’ side, nobody will have a busier week than senior Brodey Spurling.

Bison golfers play Indianhead twice

Body The Central City Bison had a chance to get familiar with the state championship golf course last week. On both Tuesday and Thursday, the Bison played rounds at Indianhead Golf Club in Grand Island.

Kernels win two to end regular season

Body With districts just around the corner, Central City/Centura looks primed for a deep postseason run. Last week on their home diamond, the Kernels notched backto- back wins over Twin River and Elkhorn to bring their final regular season record to 15-5.

BISON GOLFERS PLACE FIFTH AT LAKEVIEW
